A serious contender from this hot year. Fine cedar wood, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate on the nose. A hint of peppercorn and quince as well. Flavorful, juicy and full-bodied, with lots of dusty tannins melting into a structured, lengthy finish. Aged in 600-liter Stockinger casks. 81% cabernet sauvignon, 10% cabernet franc, 4% petit verdot, 4% carmenere and 1% syrah. Drink from 2027.
Lots of fragrant graphite and blackcurrant aromas with fresh flowers such as lavender and rosemary. Medium-bodied with layers of juicy tannins that are polished and curated, with a velvety texture that is open-grained and savory. Chewy at the end but in a caressing way. A blend of 83% cabernet sauvignon, 6% carmenere, 5% cabernet franc, 5% petit verdot and 1% syrah. Give this four or five years to come together. Try after 2028.
Baronesa P. debutó con la cosecha 2018, siempre basado en cabernet sauvignon de viñedos propios junto a la bodega de Baron en Buin, parras plantadas hacia comienzos de 2000 sobre las terrazas aluviales del río Maipo. Este año tiene 83% de cabernet, más un 5% de cabernet franc y un 1% de syrah, también de Buin. El Valle de Colchagua aporta con un 6% de carménère y el resto, que es petit verdot. El cabernet manda, no solo en porcentajes, sino también en carácter, con sus notas herbales, especiadas y levemente terrosas. La boca es rica en taninos, pero en taninos finos, punzantes. Uno para la guarda.
