Broad and intense, showing blackberries, dark plums, wild herbs and stones as well as smoke and exotic spices. It’s medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Though big for the appellation, this St. Joseph has a velvety center-palate that brings balance, complemented by plenty of texture, dense berry character, hints of chocolate and a serious lift of spices before the long, focused and vibrant finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink from 2027.

There's smoky, savory intrigue to this red. Modest fruit (a hallmark of the leaner vintage) shows real presence, with black currant and plum paste flanked by black and white pepper, dried thyme, smoke and tar, with smoldering mesquite in the backdrop. Everything is etched in graphite. Drink now through 2035. 10 cases imported.

A polished, massive red, with loads of aromatic complexity. Shows a savory thread of smoke that weaves through juniper and charred lavender notes, infusing a base of raspberry puree and dark plum flavors. Reveals tannins that hold firm, with refinement and power. Boasts bolts of iron that ground everything firmly, adding weight and structure through the pleasingly chewy, well-meshed and superlong finish. Drink now through 2038. 442 cases made, 18 cases imported.
