Opaque in colour, the nose shows excellent concentration and aroma expression, with ripe wild fruit,delicate notes of spice and hints of cacao. Powerful beginning on the palate, evolving into a wine with a solid structure, made of massive tannins of great quality and freshness.

An expressive version, offering a burst of violet, mulberry, huckleberry and blueberry fruit compote flavors, this shows good energy, with a brambly edge and a flash of licorice snap lingering on the finish. Best from 2035 through 2048. 500 cases made, 50 cases imported.
Sleek and fresh, this captures the essence of the cooler vintage, with expressive violet, blueberry and acai berry aromas and flavors that feature a racy feel through the finish. Offers nice lingering minerality, too. A pretty Port. Best from 2035 through 2045. 50 cases imported.
Still shows some signs of youth, with a rich, almost plump core of steeped blackberry compote, kirsch and linzer torte notes. Reveals singed alder and licorice along the edges, lending a touch of rusticity, with a final flash of warm earth at the very end.
