Hyde Vineyard Pinot Noir

An especially nervy, singular red from a topnotch vineyard on the Napa side of Carneros. A vivid, reduced, wet-stone aroma gives way to focused, concentrated sour cherry, black tea and black cherry flavors. A full body and moderate tannins add to a sense that it needs time to open up. Drinkable now, but best from 2028.

This shows depth for the vintage, with a sappy kirsch and mulberry core that brings nice definition. Pulls in hibiscus and iris accents on the juicy, anise-tinged finish. Well-done. Drink now through 2027. 290 cases made.

Ripe and juicy, with a lovely set of mulberry, black cherry and loganberry notes that unfurl over the caressing but persistent structure. Light apple wood, anise and hibiscus notes fill in on the vivid finish. Drink now through 2031. 185 cases made.
