Hailed by the Vivino community as ‘complex and delicate at the same time’, Domaine des Perdrix Echezeaux Grand Cru boasts a truly unique flavor profile. With red fruit notes, and an earthy and oaky undertone, this glorious French red wine is perfect for all occasions; from summer soirées to cosy fall evenings by the fire. The south to south-east facing smooth slopes of the Echezeaux Grand Cru vineyard, situated in Côte de Nuits, harness the natural elements and make for excellent growing conditions. It is here that the grapes are carefully harvested and sorted by hand. The ageing process of Domaine des Perdrix takes place in 9”, traditional Burgundian 228 litre barrels, for 18 months. This specialist vineyard only uses French oak to age, coming mainly from Bourgogne, Allier and Vosges forests. Then the wine spends a further two months in tanks before bottling. In terms of vintages, Domaine des Perdrix Echezeaux Grand Cru 2018 rates better than any other year for this wine, but it is the Domaine des Perdrix Echezeaux Grand Cru 2014 vintage that has stolen the hearts of our Vivino community, with more than 100 ratings for this vintage alone.
